CES 2018 has had a lot of prospects and insightful reveals, and one of them is the all-new single-seater Solo by Canadian automotive company Electra Meccanica. This is the lonesome vehicle every privacy-loving driver needs.
No ride-sharing, no lifts whatsoever. Just you and you alone in your vehicle with only the space you require. Interestingly, the Solo is fully-electric and is capable of a 100-mile range on a single (full) charge time of 3-hours.
It is environmentally-friendly with zero emissions and as well, saves lots of space unlike the conventional 2-4-5-7-seater vehicles we have today. It debuted at the 2018 edition of the 4-day International Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
Since affordability is relative, it is only appropriate to state that the Solo is priced at $15,500 only and nothing more than that. With a top speed of 82 mph and a 0 to 60 time of 8 seconds, the Solo is not a performance vehicle if you're a speed fan.
"We want to show -- not simply tell -- our audience that we are doing our part to invest in a cleaner planet for future generations," Electra Meccanica CEO Jerry Kroll said. "Essentially, the Solo has two doors, three wheels, and one overarching mission: To close the last gas station."
The Electra Meccanica Solo will begin shipping in the fourth quarter of 2018.
The Solo is slated to ship in Q4 2018, so if you're looking for a new ride this year, you may have just found a winner.
