With constant design changes and tweaks by Japanese auto giant Honda, its highly successful and popular sedan has got a new look with very impressive specs. Meet the all-new 2018 Honda Accord!
It impresses to see that Honda would consider a fast-back option for a sedan just like Audi did with the A7 Quattro. It's a welcome development. Further to this, in the aspect of headlights and tail lights, we see a whole new improvement with LED strips running through at the front. If you may agree with me, the new Accord has a semblance to the new Honda Civic. In fact, on mere sighting of the front, you may be tricked to think it's a Civic.
The styling is fantastic and falls nothing short of glory. With dual exhaust ports, awesome infotainment system which includes an 8-inch screen, knobs for tuning and adjusting volumes, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, in-car 4G-LTE Wi-Fi, Bluetooth pairing support, USB charging ports, this car portrays high-tech incorporation. Everything seems pretty connected.
For the powertrain, there are three transmissions available - a CVT, a 10-speed automatic and a 6-speed manual (with turbocharged engines). However, Honda ditched the 6-cylinder option and opted for a 4-cylinder 1.5-litre and 2.4-litre turbocharged engine which produces 192-horsepower and 192 lb.ft of torque, 252-horsepower and 273 lb.ft of torque respectively.
Because it's a Honda, you expect the best of tech - included are automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warnings, road-departure mitigation, and adaptive cruise with low-speed follow. All models also pack a rear-view camera. Blind-spot monitoring, front and rear parking sensors, and cross-traffic alert are all available as options.
Autoblog reports that the new Honda Accord would come in different trim levels. The 1.5-liter engine comes in LX, Sport, EX, EX-L, EX-L Navi and Touring while the 2.0-liter comes in Sport, EX-L, EX-L Navi and Touring. The hybrid comes in five trims: Hybrid, EX, EX- L, EX-L Navi and Touring.
There's no word on pricing yet. This post would be updated as soon as price is announced.
