You know Tesla? That amazing tech computational is trying to change the world one ambitious project at a time. In recent weeks passed, they launched the world's first fully electric mass market electric car, The Model 3. Now they have started their first major installation of solar roof projects around America. This is all in a bid to reduce energy consumption in order to save our world from the negative effects of climate change.
The solar roofs start at $1000 and were sold to Tesla employees first in order to iron out any issues. They look very much like high end or luxury roofs. This is in line with the Tesla strategy of making their products as simple and as uncomplicated as possible and just to enable their customers enjoy the products. You can say that they are quite similar to Apple.
The installations started in June. Initial manufacturing are being conducted in Tesla's plant in Fremont, California. But additional investments are being expected from Tesla's partner Panasonic, thus production is expected to also start at a new factory in Buffalo, New-York. With production expected to increase in 2018, sales are expected to start in Australia, the UK, and Canada. Tesla just does not want to sell you solar panels, they also want to assist in the removal of your old roof, installations, maintenance, permits and license, etc all just to make it as seamless as possible for you. It takes averagely about a week to install a new Tesla solar panel roof. We can only be excited as we see Elon Musk's ideas come to life.
