China and some parts of Asia have for long suffered pollution especially air pollution emanating from industries, coal mines and burnouts for generating electricity but today, those mining grounds are now centers for clean energy production. As of today, China boasts of the largest solar farm in the world for generating power emission-free.
The area on which the farm is situated was previously abandoned by locals and flooded by rain storms, but now houses the massive solar farm measuring about 13 to 30 feet of water.
Producing 40-megawatt of solar power, the farm is specially-designed for its floating nature. The proximity to water ensures that the panels are functioning efficiently as evaporating water naturally cools the panels while the shade from the panels helps to reduce water loss through evaporation.
Proper to locate the farm on water as lands necessary for other purposes are not consumed by solar panels.
