World-renowned car designer, Henrik Fisker has revealed plans to unveil his long-range electric car on 17th August this year. The new Tesla rival tagged the Fisker E-Motion will have the capacity to go 400 miles on a single charge, beating Tesla's record. It will also have a top speed of 161 mph, Fisker said.
Fierce design draws attention
Fisker further stated that his new car will fall under the same price bracket as the successful Tesla Model S.
He further revealed that he is planning to use new battery technology being developed by his battery division, Fisker Nanotech, to achieve a 400-mile range and that the cars will use graphene supercapacitors instead of traditional lithium ion batteries.

Sensors including a radar and camera will be housed in the front grill from to assist in autonomous driving.
To re-establish his achievements, Fisker is currently producing his supercar, the Force 1 , through VLF Automotive. He is best known as the automotive designer behind iconic cars like the BMW Z8 and the Aston Martin DB9, according to Tech Insider.
Seeing Tesla as a big contender makes him want to put in the best effort at making his own car a better rival.
"I think it's pretty clear when you look at the market, when you look at the premium market, there's really only one company that is out there, and it's Tesla," he said.
